Lava Island Indoor Play Oasis Opens in Kildeer as a New Destination for Family Fun
(Kildeer, IL – April 1, 2026) A new destination for family fun has arrived in Kildeer with the opening of Lava Island Indoor Play Oasis. The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) recently welcomed the expansive indoor playground with a ribbon cutting celebration attended by local officials, community members, and Village of Kildeer President Nandia Black, who presented an official proclamation recognizing the business.
Lava Island Kildeer is an Indoor Play Oasis where families can play, celebrate, and spend time together. The large-scale indoor playground features an impressive collection of attractions, including a giant slide that descends the side of a volcano, trampolines, foam pits, a tricycle track, and an immersive three-level jungle gym designed to keep kids active and engaged for hours. Dedicated play areas for toddlers ensure younger children also have a safe space designed just for them.
The facility is also designed to make birthday parties and group celebrations simple and stress free for parents. Lava Island offers glow-in-the-dark themed party rooms in four imaginative settings including Princess, Space, Jungle, and Underwater. Each party follows an easy schedule that begins with playtime in the attraction areas, followed by pizza and cake in the reserved party room, and then more time for the kids to return to the play area for additional fun.
In addition to the play attractions, Lava Island features a full café serving family-friendly favorites including pizza, wings, burgers, smoothies, desserts, a full coffee bar, and more, allowing families to relax and enjoy a meal while children explore the play areas.

Lava Island is open seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with extended hours until 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The facility is located at 20771 N. Rand Road, Building J in Kildeer.
