During COVID: Stay Educated, Informed and Involved

As we all adhere to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) offices are closed to the public until further notice.  However, as your partner and advocate, we will post periodic updates, helpful resources, and news on local businesses that continue to offer services. BACC continues to offer networking opportunities for members and the community through a number of virtual events and social media. We encourage you to “Like” our BACC Facebook page and join our interactive Facebook Groups – The Barrington Area Business Forum and The Barrington Area Take-Out, Delivery and Shop Small pages.

BACC newsletters and COVID resources are intended to educate, inform and prepare you for reopening. We just launched a new Small Business Reopening Tool Kit. We are stronger together. Stay safe and take all proper precautions to remain healthy everyone. If you are not a BACC member, join today.  — Suzanne Corr, BACC President

What is out of their hands is the acceptance and behavior of customers towards the new norms, particularly towards the requirement for “No Mask, No Entry.”
According to some members who have been open and operating as “essential” businesses (although BACC passionately advocated with the Governor that all businesses are essential as they support communities and our families), dealing with customers who believe it’s their freedom to choose not to wear a mask creates uncomfortable situations for small business owners. They’re trying to save the future of their business while protecting their staff and the rest of their customers…
