Barrington’s Culinary Talent Takes Center Stage at 20th Annual TasteFest
(Barrington, IL – November 3, 2025) – Nearly 400 guests enjoyed an evening of culinary delights and crafted spirits at the 20th Annual Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) TasteFest on Wednesday, October 22. Hosted at Wild Onion Brewery & Banquets in Lake Barrington, the event featured 25 of the finest local restaurants, caterers, and beverage vendors from the Barrington area.
A major highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Great Taste Awards, where attendees voted for their favorite dishes and drinks. This year’s winners truly showcased the best of the Barrington area culinary scene:
- Best Taste: The Greggory – Featured Dish: Chateaubriand Truffle Filet Mignon Sliders
- Best Entrée: Region Kitchen & Bar – Featured Dish: Wild Alaskan Sablefish, Truffled Miso Lacquer, Black Rice Croquette, Crispy Noodle & Micro Basil
- Best Spirit: Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano – Featured Spirit: Berry Tart Spritz
- Best Dessert: TE ’AMO Boba Bar – Featured Dish: Mochi Donut Dipped in Premium White Chocolate Glazing, Coconut Panna Cotta, Mango Green Tea & Strawberry Organic Milk
“These winners exemplify the creativity and flavors that makes our local food scene so special,” said Suzanne Corr, president of BACC. “With such a close competition, it’s clear that Barrington’s culinary talent is truly top-notch.”
The event featured a variety of delicious offerings from both well-established and new purveyors, including: Adruni Vineyards, Ambrosia Euro-American Patisserie, Ancho & Agave, Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, Brunch Café, Buffalo Creek Brewing, Garfield’s Beverage Warehouse, Generic Spirits, Gianni’s Cafe, Giostra, KRH Restaurant & Garden, LAGO by Fabio Viviani, Lolo’s Bowls, Long Story Short Pub, Moretti’s Barrington, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Region Kitchen & Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Tacos Guanajuato, Tangled Roots, TE ‘AMO Boba Bar, The Greggory, The Hampton Social, Vault 232, Wild Asparagus Catering, and Wild Onion Brewery. Live entertainment by the Judson Brown Band added to the festive atmosphere.
Guests also enjoyed the thrill of the Money Machine, hosted by Presenting Sponsor Barrington Bank & Trust Co., where participants attempted to catch fast-flying cash.
